Post Conviction Relief

We are dedicated to helping incarcerated individuals and their families navigate the complex post conviction process.

Whether your loved one was recently convicted, has been incarcerated for years or has previously been denied relief, their case may deserve another look.

Our Core Consulting Services

Initial Case File Review
We begin with a detailed review of available court records, sentencing documents, plea agreements, motions, transcripts, and other case materials to identify potential issues that may warrant further research.

State Post-Conviction Research
We research possible avenues for state post-conviction relief, including procedural issues, sentencing concerns, ineffective assistance claims, newly discovered evidence, and other case-specific matters.

Federal Post-Conviction Research
For federal cases, we assist with research involving potential relief under applicable federal statutes and rules, including sentence-related issues, post-conviction motions, and changes in federal law that may affect a client’s case.

Sentence & Enhancement Review
We examine sentencing calculations, enhancements, prior convictions, consecutive or concurrent terms, guideline issues, and other factors that may have affected the sentence imposed.

Clemency, Commutation & Pardon Support
We help clients and families organize information and prepare supporting materials for executive clemency, commutation, pardon, and similar applications when available.

Case Timeline & Record Organization
Complex cases often involve years of filings and court activity. We organize case histories, important dates, rulings, filings, and supporting documents into a clear timeline that makes the record easier to understand and evaluate.

Legal Research & Document Preparation Support
We conduct targeted legal research and assist with organizing and preparing draft materials based on the facts and procedural history of the case.

Family Support & Case Guidance
Families are often left trying to understand complicated court records and legal terminology on their own. We help explain the procedural history, identify what documents may still be needed, and provide clear direction on possible next steps.

Every Case Deserves a Thorough Review

At All Star Post Conviction, we understand that no two cases are exactly alike. Our goal is to carefully examine the record, uncover issues that may have been overlooked, and provide dedicated research and support for incarcerated individuals and their families seeking every lawful avenue toward relief, a reduced sentence, or a second chance.

What types of cases do you review?

We assist with a variety of state and federal post-conviction matters, including habeas corpus, appeals, resentencing, sentence reductions, compassionate release, clemency and commutation, ineffective assistance of counsel claims, constitutional issues, newly discovered evidence, sentencing concerns, and other potential post-conviction remedies.

What information do you need to review a case?

To get started, provide the incarcerated person's full name, state and county or federal district of conviction, case number if available, charges, sentence, and a brief explanation of what happened. Court records and previous filings can also be extremely helpful.

Do you work with both state and federal inmates?

Yes. We review matters involving both state and federal convictions. The remedies available vary significantly depending on the jurisdiction and circumstances of the case.

Can you guarantee that my loved one will come home early?

No. No legitimate post-conviction service can guarantee a particular court decision, sentence reduction, or release date. Every case depends on its facts, procedural history, applicable law, deadlines, and the decision of the appropriate court or government authority.

Appeals and compassionate release

When initial attempts fall short, exploring delayed or out-of-time appeals and compassionate release petitions can open critical doorways. We carefully assess jurisdictional rules, medical or family hardship criteria, and changes in the law to assist in developing compelling materials aimed at sentence modification.
